Simple Usage

Usage

  • Press START/STOP button (6) to start analysis
  • Analysis results are displayed in graph area (1)
  • Switch between 1/1 or 1/3 octave analysis (7)
  • Switch time constant (8)
  • Switch frequency weighting (9)
  • Check overall level (2)
  • Move cursor to check detailed level (5,3)

Calibration (For accurate measurement)

For accurate measurement, you can calibrate the microphone.

  • Insert IEC compliant microphone into iPhone/iPad
  • Let the microphone listen to 1kHz tone from pistonphone
  • Adjust gain in microphone settings view until 94dB is displayed

As a combination of IEC compliant microphone and calibrator, i436 and CA114 are commonly used and verified in Japan.

1. File Selection

Select a file to start playback. Filename format is "Y-M-D-h-m_0dBFSD==_NNN_dBSPL.wav" where NNN indicates how many dB SPL corresponds to 0dBFS
